Framo Donates Medical Equipment to Ukraine

When the occupational health service was phased out, there was a surplus of useful equipment and materials. Through the organization Fritt Ukraina, the equipment was delivered to Ukraine, where the need is urgent.

"This is a great opportunity for materials and equipment that we no longer need to be put to good use. Thirty
boxes were sent, and as of now, we've received personal feedback that the delivery has arrived safely and was warmly received," says Marit Træland. Marit, who was previously a company nurse at Framo, now holds the position of HSE advisor.

"It makes sense to us that what we no longer need here can be a valuable addition for those facing a chaotic and demanding war situation. Most of the shipment was sent to a hospital in a city near the eastern front of Ukraine, while some has been distributed to doctor’s offices and health stations. We packed up all the consumables and equipment from our four Framo locations," says a former company nurse and now HSE advisor, Astrid K. Moland.

Secretary General Natalia Antonia Golis of the aid organization Fritt Ukraina personally collected the shipment at Framo Florvåg in early October.

The organization greatly appreciates that the donation was well-packaged and carefully labelled. This facilitates transportation through customs and makes it easier to distribute the equipment where it is needed.
"For those of us who were in the occupational health service at Framo, it's comforting to know that what we've donated will be put to good use by those who truly need it," concluded Moland and Træland.
