Handling of CHEMICALS

Chemicals can pose a safety and health hazard! They may also have environmentally harmful or flammable properties, and must be handled and stored in a fully responsible manner.

  • All chemicals must be labelled with the chemical's name and hazard symbol.
  • You must read the safety data before handling chemicals. Look for QR codes on notice boards to access Framo's substance catalogue.
  • Handling and storage must follow safety statements in data sheets and risk assessments.
  • You must use protective equipment defined in the risk assessment and safety data sheet in Chapter 8.
  • Avoid exposing others to chemicals you are handling. Ensure good ventilation/extraction and, if necessary, containment in the event of a risk of spreading to the working environment.
  • If you must bring your own chemicals, data sheets in paper format must be kept at the workplace.
  • You are responsible for removing your own chemicals and hazardous waste from our area after the tasks.
