Chemicals can pose a safety and health hazard! They may also have environmentally harmful or flammable properties, and must be handled and stored in a fully responsible manner.
All chemicals must be labelled with the chemical's name and hazard symbol.
You must read the safety data before handling chemicals. Look for QR codes on notice boards to access Framo's substance catalogue.
Handling and storage must follow safety statements in data sheets and risk assessments.
You must use protective equipment defined in the risk assessment and safety data sheet in Chapter 8.
Avoid exposing others to chemicals you are handling. Ensure good ventilation/extraction and, if necessary, containment in the event of a risk of spreading to the working environment.
If you must bring your own chemicals, data sheets in paper format must be kept at the workplace.
You are responsible for removing your own chemicals and hazardous waste from our area after the tasks.
