Protect yourself against falls when WORKING AT HEIGHTS
Always try to avoid working at height. If this is not possible, ensure that the work is as short as possible, and is carried out in a safe manner according to the risk assessment.
When working at height, the area must be secured with barrier tape and signs.
Fall protection is mandatory when standing over 1.8 metres
- Collective fall protection is prioritized over personal fall protection equipment. If a fall protection harness is required, personnel must have completed documented training. Ensure secure anchoring points.
- All use of lifts/person lifts must be agreed with your contact person. Documented training must be submitted.
- Scaffolding over 2 meters must only be built by qualified personnel. (Documented training must be submitted) Users of scaffolding must have sufficient training to be able to work safely.
- Ladders should mainly only be used for access, and not as a work platform.

Loose objects must be secured against falling down. Work on several levels at the same time must be avoided. A helmet is required if work has to be done on several levels at the same time.
The area must be cordoned off when working at height.
When working near cranes, the control panel must be secured so that cranes cannot be operated.
Only use certified/approved equipment with sufficient stability/strength. The equipment must also be systematically maintained and checked.
